Scoping Request submitted for Airigh Wind Farm, Argyll

Force 9 Energy has submitted a request for a Scoping Opinion to the Scottish Government for its proposed Airigh (formerly Carse) Wind Farm. The proposed wind farm comprises up to 17 turbines, with a total installed capacity of over 50MW.

Whilst we are still in the early stages of developing Airigh Wind Farm, we are committed to ensuring that all community groups and stakeholders are provided with ample opportunity to view, and comment upon, the proposals. We intend to hold public exhibitions in September 2016 and we look forward to welcoming members of the community and all those with an interest in the proposals.   Dates and venues for the public exhibitions will be sent out to the local community shortly.

If consented, a Community Fund will be established with effect from first commercial operation of the wind farm. Force 9 Energy and EDF Energy are also considering offering the local communities a chance to own up to a 10% stake in the project by way of a ‘Revenue Sharing Opportunity’ – whereby the local communities would receive a share of the profits of the project on the same basis as the developer.
