Force 9 Energy sponsors Highland Military Tattoo

Force 9 Energy were proud to sponsor this year’s Highland Military Tattoo.  The Tattoo, Scotland's second largest, was held for a second year at the spectacular backdrop of Fort George, near Ardersier, UK’s largest military fort, from Friday 11st September to Sunday 12th September.

The event got off to a roaring start with a fly past, and vertical climb, by an RAF Typhoon.  The Tattoo showcased a mixture of local, military and international acts starring the Stadacona Band of the Royal Canadian Navy.  There were food and drink stalls, charity stalls and an opportunity to look at military equipment.

Pipe bands taking part included The Highlanders' Army Cadet Force, Highland Youth, City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band and Gordonstoun School Pipe Band. Other musicians included Gaelic ceilidh band 'Snas and award-winning piper Brighde Chaimbeul, from Skye. City of Inverness Highland Dancers and City of Inverness Contemporary Dance Group were also among the acts.

Historical vignettes included commemorations of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815 and World War One's Battle of Loos, including some spectacular horse riding.

The event concluded with a colourful firework extravaganza. A very well organised event and one which we were delighted to support.
