Energy Talk in Local Nursery

Megan Isaacs our GIS Manager visited her local Stirling nursery to talk to the children about ‘clean’ energy and ‘dirty’ energy.  Renewable energy is a complex topic to get across to 3-5 year olds but the children seemed to enjoy it and the feedback from the nursery was positive.

Megan introduced the concept of ‘energy that can be recycled’ - renewable energy and ‘energy that cannot be placed’ - fossil fuels.  It is important to try and help young children understand where our energy comes from in order for them to start to understand that we need to conserve it, and that they can contribute to protecting the planet earth by using energy in the right way.
